Vetern Nick Hughes Has New Career Thanks to Ken Goodrich and Goettl Air Conditioning

Ken Goodrich and Goettl Air conditioing continues to prove that they care about the community that they are a part of. Thanks to a scholarship provided in part by the company, US Navy veteran Nick Hughes has a new career and a new direction in life.

When Hughes left the Navy a few years ago, he had no idea what he was going to do next. Eventually he enrolled in the HVAC program at Southern Navada College, and upon graduating was offered a unique scholarship. The grant from Goettl Air allowed him to pick $1,000 worth of tools that he needed for his next job, as reported on PR Newswire.

This was a godsend to Hughes, who had been able to cover his books and tuition, but was worried about the expensive tools he would need to start his career. Even after getting a job, many HVAC repairmen end up in debt to their employer before they even start working because of the high cost of tools. The grant enabled him to start putting his salary towards bills and food right away.

Ken Goodman and Goettl Air Conditioning have a long history of helping out the community. This is the second grant the company has sponsored at the college. The first was a “Son of Gun” scholarship awarded to a second or third generation member of a family in the air conditioing industry.

Ken Goodman bought Goettl Air conditiong in 2013, and brought the company back to the Las Vegas area in 2016. The company was founded by Gust and Adam Goettl in 1939, and stayed in the Las Vegas area until the recession hit in 2008.

Goettl Air Conditiong has provided high quality service, maintenance, repair and replacement of air conditioning units since the company was founded in 1939. Goettl Air Conditioning prides itself on being a responsible business that gives back to the community that supports it.
